Kiron Side table

About Kiron Side table

Design

The Kiron side table by Capital is designed as a quiet anchor in a room. Its circular top, about 23.6 inches in diameter, gives it an easy, approachable presence. Nothing about it feels fussy. The form is clean, with clear attention to balance, so it slips comfortably beside a sofa, lounge chair, or as a companion to a larger table.

Created in 2013 by Capital Creative Lab, it belongs to the brand’s Service Tables collection but reads as more than just a helper piece. It adds a touch of formality without making the space feel stiff, working just as well in a relaxed living area as in a more polished setting.

Materials & Build

Kiron offers a choice of two distinctive tops. In marble, it leans into a more polished, elevated look, with the natural veining bringing quiet movement to the surface. In wood essence, it shifts toward warmth, adding texture and a softer visual note.

The table stands about 21.7 inches high, a compact volume of roughly 10.6 cubic feet. Weight ranges from about 40 to 68 pounds, depending on the configuration, giving it a reassuring solidity when in use. It feels substantial enough for everyday life, yet not so heavy that it becomes difficult to reposition when the room changes.

Comfort & Function

This is a side table meant to be used, not just admired. The height suits most seating arrangements, keeping drinks, books, or a laptop within easy reach. The round top makes it simple to gather around, and there are no sharp corners to navigate.

Because the surface is generous without being bulky, it supports daily routines comfortably: morning coffee, a reading lamp, or a small stack of magazines. It stays practical, even when styled with objects.

Placement & Lifestyle

Kiron moves easily between roles. It can sit beside a sofa in the living room, between two armchairs in a lounge, or next to the bed as a more considered alternative to a nightstand. In marble, it suits more formal spaces; in wood essence, it settles naturally into relaxed interiors.

The design pairs well with both upholstered and leather seating and works with a variety of finishes around it. It is neutral enough to blend in, yet distinct enough to give a corner of the room a more intentional feel.

Longevity

The materials chosen for Kiron are meant to age well. Marble keeps its character over years of use, while wood essence develops a lived-in appeal as the surface reflects everyday touch. The table’s weight and compact dimensions also mean it can move from one home to another without fuss.

It is the kind of piece that can shift function over time—side table today, reading table tomorrow—without feeling out of place, staying relevant as the room and the owner’s habits evolve.
