About Candy Sculpture
Design
The Candy Sphere Chandelier from Lasvit channels the Campana Brothers’ joyful visual language into a poised, contemporary form. It builds on the duo’s Sushi series and looks to the colorful sweets found in Brazilian street markets. That influence reads clearly, yet the composition stays disciplined, never busy. It is a chandelier, yes, but also a sculpture. Two shape variations allow the idea to shift in attitude while keeping the same spirited core.
Czech glass-masters embraced the concept and pushed it through glass with a confident hand. The sphere feels generous and celebratory without shouting. Up close, the piece reveals a cadence of color and reflection that changes as the viewer moves. From a distance, it resolves into a pure, rounded silhouette that holds a room with ease.
Materials & Build
Every element is handmade, so the glass carries the small markers of true craft—subtle bubbles, slight shade differences, natural transitions. These nuances are part of the design, not distractions. They give the chandelier life and a real, tactile presence.
The structure is built around a titanium gold, mirror-coated frame that adds depth and a quiet gleam. Diameter is approximately 32.7 inches (830 mm). Weight is about 254 pounds (115 kg). The proportions are deliberate, and the material mix is honest: glass for color and light, metal for strength and precision.
Comfort & Light
This piece shapes light in a soft, dimensional way. The glass tones temper brightness and create a gentle, ambient glow. No glare, no harshness—just an inviting pool of illumination that carries warmth into the space. The mirror-coated frame adds a refined echo, amplifying light without overwhelming it.
Even when unlit, the chandelier holds as a sculptural focal point. When on, it shifts the room’s mood with a calm sense of celebration. The effect is playful yet composed, as the Campana Brothers intended.
Placement & Lifestyle
The Candy Sphere Chandelier performs best where it can breathe—entry halls, generous living areas, gallery-like rooms, or hospitality spaces that welcome a conversational centerpiece. Its spherical profile sits comfortably in both classic and contemporary settings. And because it comes in two shape variations, it adapts to different ceiling heights and floor plans with ease.
It pairs naturally with stone, wood, or plaster, and balances nicely against clean architectural lines. Place it where moments are meant to gather; it rewards everyday use and special occasions alike.
Longevity
Lasvit’s approach keeps durability in mind. The materials are resilient, the build is assured, and the finish is thoughtfully selected to keep its luster. Handmade glass ages well when treated with care, and those slight variations remain a signature rather than a flaw.
A light dusting and gentle cleaning preserve the piece over time, allowing its color and clarity to stay crisp. With considered placement and routine care, the Candy Sphere Chandelier lives comfortably for years, continuing to offer both art and light in equal measure.
