Design

Adone is a tall, architectural light with a calm, clear presence. The structure lines are clean, the corners gently smoothed so the silhouette stays sharp but never harsh. At roughly 14.2 inches wide, 82.7 inches high, and 7.9 inches deep, it has a slim footprint that reads vertical and precise rather than bulky.

A discreet swivel element introduces movement into the design. The piece stays visually composed while the light direction shifts with a simple turn, keeping the overall look controlled, not fussy.

Materials & Build

The lamp is built entirely in metal with a refined, even finishing. There are no abrupt edges; every corner is eased, giving the structure a softened outline while keeping it distinctly modern. The metal surfaces catch light in a measured way, adding depth without glare.

Weighing about 61.7 pounds, the piece feels substantial and steady. It occupies around 7.1 cubic feet of volume, but the geometry keeps it visually light. Designed by Boatto Martino Studio for Capital’s 2016 Lighting and Complements collection, it reflects a clear, disciplined approach to form and proportion.

Interaction & Comfort

The swivel element is the functional heart of Adone. It allows the light to be angled with a simple, intuitive motion, so the user can shift focus from a reading area to a conversation space without moving the entire lamp.

Smooth corners and an uncluttered structure make interaction straightforward. Nothing distracts, nothing feels fragile. The lamp adjusts with ease and then disappears back into the room’s architecture.

Placement & Lifestyle

With its narrow depth and width, Adone slips neatly beside a sofa, near a lounge chair, or along a corridor wall. The height gives it presence, yet the proportions keep it from crowding the room. It works well in living areas, studies, or bedrooms where a quiet, vertical light source is needed.

The piece sits comfortably in both minimal and layered interiors. It can stand alone as a single accent or align with other Capital lighting to complete a more structured composition.

Longevity

Metal construction and a weighty base give the lamp long-term stability, in both senses. It is built to stay in place and to stay in use. The simple geometry and restrained detailing mean it resists quick dating; it is not tied to a passing style.
