About Helena Coffee table
Design
Helena by Capital brings a clear, graphic presence to the living room. The coffee table is built around a generous round top, its lacquered surface calm and continuous, then cut through by an unexpected wedge of marble. This insert shifts the balance just enough to make the piece feel special without shouting for attention. Metallic details trace the meeting points, giving the eye clean lines to follow.
Designed by Margherita Fanti for the Coffee Tables 2025 collection, the table plays with light and shadow. The way the top appears almost suspended adds a welcome sense of air to its footprint. It reads substantial, yet never heavy, which makes it easy to place in both spacious and more contained living areas.
Materials & Build
The structure centers on a lacquered top that offers a smooth, consistent surface, ideal for everyday use. Set into this is a wedge-shaped marble insert, exclusive in its cut and carefully aligned so the transition between materials feels deliberate and precise. The marble brings depth and natural variation, each vein subtly different, while the lacquer keeps the whole composition disciplined and clean.
Metallic finish details complete the build, framing the surfaces and underlining the geometry. At roughly 13.4 inches in height and about 46.1 inches in diameter, Helena has a broad, usable top and a reassuring weight of around 187 pounds. It sits with confidence at the center of a room, stable and composed.
Comfort in Use
This coffee table is sized for easy, everyday living. The low height keeps everything within comfortable reach from a sofa or lounge chair, from books and trays to a laptop or evening drinks. Its round shape encourages relaxed circulation around it, with no corners to catch or work around.
The lacquered surface is pleasant to the touch and simple to wipe clean, while the marble wedge naturally claims a spot for special objects. And because the top appears visually light, Helena supports the room without blocking sightlines or conversation.
Placement & Lifestyle
Helena works best as a central piece in the living area, where the contrast between lacquer, marble, and metallic accents can be appreciated up close. It pairs well with generous seating groups, grounding a large sectional, but it can just as easily stand in front of a compact sofa as a clear focal point.
In open-plan spaces, the round shape helps define a lounge zone without strict boundaries. The Capital design language here is contemporary and refined, yet easy to live with, fitting naturally alongside neutral textiles, rich woods, or more expressive, color-forward interiors.
Longevity
The choice of marble, lacquer, and metal is not only aesthetic. These materials are selected for their ability to age well when treated with normal care. Marble keeps its character over time, while quality lacquer protects the structure beneath. Metal details add another layer of resilience at key points.
With its solid build and considered finishes, Helena is designed as a long-term piece in the home. It is the kind of coffee table that can adapt as the surrounding setting evolves, remaining visually relevant from one arrangement to the next.
