About Key West 2.0 Armchair
Design
Key West 2.0 by Capital sits in that sweet spot between lounge chair and armchair. The line is clean and graceful, with a light visual volume that doesn’t crowd the room. Nothing feels forced or showy. The form is simple, slightly sculpted, and lets the upholstery do most of the talking. It looks relaxed, but still precise, as if every curve has been quietly edited.
Designed by Capital Creative Lab for the 2024 armchair collection, it has the easy presence of a piece that works on its own or in pairs. The proportions are compact yet generous enough to feel like a true lounge seat rather than a perch.
Materials & Build
The structure is anchored by wood, giving the chair a solid, reassuring base. Around it sits a meticulously tailored cover, available in leather or fabric. The stitching and alignment are clearly handled by trained hands; the craftsmanship is visible but not loud. It feels considered, right down to how the upholstery meets the frame.
Dimensions stay comfortably within a modern living space: about 29.5 inches wide, 27.6 inches high, and 29.5 inches deep. The seat height is roughly 17.7 inches, with a weight of around 55.1 pounds. Its volume, close to 21.2 cubic feet, makes it substantial without being bulky to place or move.
Comfort
Soft padding in both the seat and back gives the Key West 2.0 an easy, welcoming feel. The cushioning is generous enough for long sits without swallowing the sitter. And because the back and seat are padded as one coherent unit, posture stays naturally supported rather than propped.
The seat height works well for conversation, reading, or a quiet drink. It feels approachable—low enough to relax into, high enough to stand up from without effort.
Placement & Lifestyle
With its modest footprint, this armchair slides comfortably into a living room corner, a bedroom seating area, or a more formal sitting room. It also makes sense in a hospitality setting where a lighter look is preferred over heavy, imposing lounge pieces.
Whether upholstered in leather for a sharper, more tailored mood, or in fabric for a softer note, it mixes easily with different styles. It doesn’t dictate the room; it supports it.
Longevity
Capital’s approach here is straightforward: a solid wood base, careful upholstery, and padding that feels built for daily use. There’s nothing experimental about the structure, which is part of its appeal. The chair is designed to stay relevant beyond a single season.
Over time, the value of Key West 2.0 is in how it holds its shape and presence. The restrained design and thoughtful build suggest a piece meant to be lived with, not just looked at.
