About Freddie Living armchair

Designed to Break the Rules

The Freddie Living armchair from Talenti doesn’t follow a single playbook. Named after rock’s most fearless frontman, it plays with proportion and contrast in a way that feels deliberate but never forced. The lines are bold. The silhouette is welcoming. And somehow it manages to sit comfortably between formal and relaxed without committing fully to either. That tension is what makes it interesting.

It’s a chair with genuine character — the kind that shifts mood depending on where it’s placed and what surrounds it. Pair it with a refined dining setting or drop it into a casual living space. It adapts without losing itself.

Materials That Do the Work

The frame is built from ash wood, with a seat structure in multilayer wood — solid, well-considered construction that doesn’t rely on overengineering. Seat padding combines high-density polyurethane foam with polyester fiber, while the back cushion uses polyester fiber in a fabric or leather cover. Glides are thermoplastic polymer, a small detail that protects floors and keeps things quiet.

Finish options give it real range. There are lacquered gloss finishes in Ecru, Black, Red, and Verdigris, plus three wood options: Natural Oak, Canaletto Walnut, and Black Open Pore. Upholstery spans multiple fabric categories — A through E and LUX — along with leather in Category F and Category G LUX. Dimensions come in at roughly 23.6 by 17.7 inches, with a seat height of about 17 inches and a cushion height near 8.7 inches. Total weight sits around 42 pounds.

Comfortable Without Making a Fuss

This isn’t a chair that announces its comfort with oversized cushions or exaggerated curves. The Freddie keeps things clean. But the high-density foam and fiber layering do their job well — supportive where it counts, soft enough to settle into. The back cushion adds just the right amount of give. It’s the kind of seat that feels better the second time you sit in it.

Where It Belongs

Talenti designed this piece to move between identities, and it does. A living room corner, a bedroom reading spot, a statement seat at a dining table — the Freddie works in all of them. The variety of finishes and upholstery options means it can go darker and more dramatic or lighter and understated depending on the space. It doesn’t demand attention, but it holds it.

Built to Stay

Ash wood frames and multilayer construction aren’t chosen for show. They’re chosen because they last. The upholstery categories, from durable everyday fabrics to high-end leathers, let owners match the chair to their actual lifestyle — not just their taste. This is a piece that ages well and earns its place over time.
