About Dafne Armchair
Curved Design with a Distinct Presence
The Dafne armchair from Capital is all about a sculpted, curved silhouette. Its form is defined by two embracing shells that seem to float together, creating a clear, graphic line in the room. At approximately 30 inches wide, 33 inches high, and 31 inches deep, it has a solid presence without overwhelming the space. The look is clean, contemporary, and quietly expressive.
Designed by Boatto Martino Studio, Dafne works as a standalone statement or in a pair. The fluid contours catch the light nicely and give the chair a sense of movement, even when it is perfectly still.
Materials and Build Quality
Every element is chosen with care. The structure incorporates wood components that give the piece its reassuring weight, around 62 pounds, and a grounded stance. Upholstery in carefully selected fabrics wraps the shells, softening the geometry and adding a tactile layer that invites touch.
Depending on the configuration, marble details can be introduced to underscore the architectural feel of the design. The finishes are handled with precise attention, so joints, seams, and edges stay visually quiet and clean.
Comfort in an Enveloping Shape
Dafne is not only about form. The curved shells create an enveloping seat that feels secure and relaxed. With a seat height of about 17 inches and armrests at roughly 25 inches, the proportions support a natural lounge posture without sinking too low.
The lines may be fluid, but the support is steady. Back and arms are calibrated to hold the body comfortably, making it a chair that works just as well for conversation as it does for a quiet moment alone.
Placement and Everyday Living
This Capital armchair slips easily into different interiors. It holds its own in a living room, reading corner, or hotel lounge, and pairs smoothly with both minimalist pieces and more decorative settings. The footprint and volume, around 24.7 cubic feet, make it substantial yet manageable in most spaces.
Used as a focal point or grouped in twos around a low table, it brings a measured sense of design without feeling over-styled.
Built for Lasting Use
The combination of robust wood elements, quality fabrics, and the option of marble accents gives Dafne a reassuring durability. At its weight and scale, it feels stable and solid in daily use, not delicate or fragile.
Over time, the clear lines and considered finishes help the chair stay relevant as rooms evolve around it. The design is distinctive enough to be noticed, yet calm enough to live with for years.
