About Brera .23 Armchair
Design
The Brera .23 armchair sits in the same family as the Brera sofas, sharing a clear design language while holding its own as a stand-alone piece. The silhouette is soft and inviting, with rounded volumes that feel considered rather than casual. A curved base in a metallic finish subtly lifts the body of the chair, giving it a lighter presence even with its generous form. Capital lets the line do the work here: nothing feels decorative for its own sake, yet the chair reads as distinctly tailored.
Materials & Build
Behind the calm outline is a solid wooden frame that anchors the structure. It is padded with undeformable polyurethane foam in different densities, so the seat and back can each play their role without collapsing over time. The base is finished in metal, creating a clean contrast with the upholstered body. Fabrics and leathers are available across the collection, allowing Brera to lean more relaxed or more formal depending on the chosen cover. The overall impression is robust, but not heavy-handed.
Comfort in a Compact Footprint
At about 32.7 inches wide, 31.5 inches high, and 33.1 inches deep, this is a lounge chair designed to offer real comfort without taking over the room. The seat height, around 18.1 inches, strikes a practical balance: easy to slide into, easy to rise from. Foam padding of different densities supports the body where it needs it, keeping the seat welcoming yet controlled. And at roughly 77 pounds, the chair feels substantial enough to stay put, but not immovable.
Placement & Lifestyle
This piece works easily alongside the Brera 2- and 3-seater sofas from Capital, but it also stands comfortably on its own. A single armchair reads as a quiet accent in a bedroom or study; a pair can frame a coffee table in a living room or hospitality lounge. The clear geometry and curved base help it sit well in both contemporary and more transitional interiors. It is the kind of chair that adapts to the setting rather than dominating it.
Longevity
From the sturdy wooden frame to the undeformable foam, Brera was designed with daily use in mind. The metal base is not just a visual detail; it provides a stable foundation that resists the wear of regular movement. Fabrics and leathers give flexibility over time, whether the chair is placed in a private residence or a more demanding contract environment. The design from Capital Creative Lab focuses on staying power: shapes and materials that feel current now and should still feel appropriate years from today.
