Orion-Q Mirror

About Orion-Q Mirror

Design

The Orion-Q from Capital presents two mirrors, one square and one rectangular, with a clear, architectural presence. Each piece is defined by sharp geometry and by its distinctive corners, where discreet metallic details punctuate the frame. The effect is subtle but noticeable. What could be a simple pane of glass becomes a graphic element on the wall, clean and contemporary. The design works quietly in the background, yet it always catches the eye as someone passes by.

Created by Capital Creative Lab in 2015 for the Lighting and Complements collection, the mirrors feel considered rather than decorative for decoration’s sake. They are meant to sit easily among modern furnishings, but can also bring order and structure to more eclectic rooms.

Materials & Build

The frame highlights two key finishes: metal and leather. The metallic accents at the corners are precise and crisp, giving the mirrors a tailored look. When leather is selected, it softens the geometry and adds a warmer, more tactile note. The balance of glass, metal, and leather gives Orion-Q a clear identity without overwhelming the rest of the interior.

The square version measures about 51.2 inches wide and 51.2 inches high, with a depth of roughly 3.1 inches. It has a substantial weight of about 132.3 pounds, with a volume of around 10.6 cubic feet for planning and installation. It feels like a real architectural element, not a lightweight accessory.

Comfort

These mirrors are designed for visual ease. The generous surface offers a clear, undisturbed reflection, wide enough for daily rituals or a last check before heading out. The corner details stay at the edges of the view, framing rather than interrupting it. The proportions are calm and balanced, so the mirror feels reassuring on the wall, not imposing.

Placement & Lifestyle

Orion-Q works well wherever a room needs both function and a stronger visual anchor. In an entryway, it offers a full, bright reflection the moment someone walks in. Above a console or sideboard, it brings depth to a dining or living space. The square and rectangular versions can be used independently or in dialogue, aligned or slightly offset, depending on how bold the composition should be.

Because it belongs to Capital’s Lighting and Complements world, the mirror is easy to pair with wall lamps, floor lamps, and other furnishings. It complements light instead of competing with it, amplifying both natural and artificial illumination.

Longevity

The construction feels built to stay put. The weight and thickness suggest a mirror made for long-term use, not constant replacement. Metal and leather finishes are chosen to wear in rather than wear out, gaining character over the years. And the straightforward geometry keeps Orion-Q relevant as tastes evolve, making it a quiet constant in changing interiors.
