Design

Light-Light is a wall shelf collection by Nanda Vigo, defined by clean planes and a quiet glow. The look is minimal, but not cold. The opaque white glass keeps the line soft, and the 45° chamfered edge adds a precise finish without calling attention to itself. It reads as a single, calm surface on the wall, even when it’s holding books or objects.

There’s a practical clarity to the design. No extra brackets to distract the eye, no visual noise. And when the LED is on, the shelf shifts from simple storage to something more atmospheric, still restrained.

Materials & Build

Each shelf is made from glued tempered glass plates, 6 mm thick, which is about 0.24 inches. The glass is opaque white, so it hides glare and keeps what’s on the shelf looking composed. The chamfer is cut at 45°, a small detail that makes the edge feel finished in the hand and sharper in profile.

Lighting is integrated with a LED equipment option, available with or without a dimmer. For switching and intensity regulation, a wall push button panel is required. Light-Light by glasitalia is not available custom made, so the selection stays focused and consistent.

Everyday Use

Comfort, here, is visual. The opaque white surface is easy on the eye, and the added light can make a corner feel more settled, especially in the evening. But it’s not a spotlight. It’s an even, functional glow that supports what’s placed on the shelf rather than overpowering it.

The profile is low at roughly 4.3 inches high, so it stays neat and out of the way. It works well for books, small sculptures, and objects that deserve a clean backdrop.

Placement & Lifestyle

Light-Light suits spaces that prefer clarity over display. In an entry, it can act as a slim landing point. In a living room, it reads as a bright line that keeps the wall feeling intentional. And in a bedroom or study, it brings in gentle light without adding another lamp to the mix.

Three sizes are available. The long version is about 63.0 inches wide, with a depth of 9.4 inches. A mid option is about 51.2 inches wide, and the compact version is about 31.5 inches wide; all share the same depth and the same 4.3-inch height.

Longevity

Tempered glass is chosen for resilience, and the opaque finish helps the shelf keep its composed look over time. The construction is straightforward, and the integrated lighting is designed to feel like part of the piece, not an add-on. It’s a shelf that stays relevant because it stays disciplined.
