Design

Tête-à-tête reads light and precise, with a silhouette that stays crisp from every angle. Designed by Piero Lissoni for glasitalia, it uses transparency as part of the form, not as a trick. The lines are formal but not severe. And the overall look stays calm, even when the cushions are dressed in a bold fabric or a deeper tone of faux eco-leather.

Two configurations shape the experience. One version includes an integrated side table set into the seat, positioned on the right or left. The other shifts the idea into a twin facing seat, creating a more conversational layout without adding visual weight.

Materials & Build

The structure is made from 19 mm thick transparent extralight glass, shaped, tempered, and UV-bonded. That translates to roughly 0.75 inches of glass, executed with the kind of control needed for a piece that is meant to look almost effortless. The clarity matters here. It keeps the sofa feeling open in the room, even at full size.

Over that frame, removable cushions bring softness and flexibility. Upholstery is offered in different fabrics or faux eco-leather, with multiple color options. Tête-à-tête is not available custom made, so the choices stay focused and edited.

Comfort

The cushioning is deliberately generous. The padding has the hand and loft associated with goose down, but it is made from a hypoallergenic, cruelty free, eco-compatible material. The fill comes from recycled plastics collected from the oceans. It is a quiet detail, but it changes how the piece feels to live with.

Each model is composed with specific cushion quantities. TET01 and TET02 include one seat cushion and two back cushions. TET03 includes one seat cushion and four back cushions. Additional TET04 back cushions can be supplied on request, sized at about 19.7 by 19.7 inches.

Placement & Longevity

Proportions are compact and architectural. TET01 and TET02 measure about 78.7 inches long, 30.3 inches deep, and 24.8 inches high. TET03 comes in at about 70.9 inches long with the same depth and height. The footprint stays clean, and the glass makes the volume feel lighter than its dimensions suggest.

For long-term use, the removable cushion setup is a practical advantage, especially in high-rotation spaces. The tempered, UV-bonded glass structure is built for stability and daily life, while the upholstery options keep maintenance straightforward. Tête-à-tête holds its intent over time: a refined, resilient sofa that doesn’t ask a room to revolve around it.
