Oxford 2p Sofa

About Oxford 2p Sofa

Design

The Oxford 2p by Capital sits in a precise balance between a clear, almost rigid structure and a lighter, suspended volume above. The result is a two-seater with a soft, enveloping look that feels composed rather than bulky. Lines stay clean, but the overall silhouette is welcoming, not severe.

Created by Capital Creative Lab for the Sofa 2020 collection, it shares its language with the three-seater and armchair from the same family. That sense of continuity makes it easy to pair pieces, or let the two-seater stand on its own as a focused, confident form.

Materials & Build

The Oxford 2p works with a clear palette: metals, fabrics, and leather. Internal backrest and seat can be finished in fabric or leather, giving the core of the sofa either a soft textile feel or a more tailored leather character. For the external back, the options shift to fabric or quilted leather, adding another level of definition.

Viewed from any angle, that mix of materials sets up an interesting contrast between structure and comfort. Metal details ground the piece visually and support the architecture of the sofa without overwhelming it. Nothing feels accidental; each surface is there to frame the seating volume.

Comfort

This is a compact two-seater, but it does not feel tight. At about 65.4 inches wide, 29.5 inches deep, and 33.9 inches high, it offers enough space for two people to sit comfortably without losing the sense of a defined personal seat. The seat height, around 18.1 inches, feels natural for everyday use.

Armrests at roughly 25.2 inches support a relaxed posture, whether working on a laptop or talking over a drink. The soft, enveloping look is not just aesthetic; the proportions invite longer sitting without fuss.

Placement & Lifestyle

With its measured footprint, the Oxford 2p moves easily between living room, lounge, and executive office. It suits city apartments where every inch matters, yet still holds its own in larger spaces paired with the matching three-seater or armchair from Capital.

Its overall volume of about 45.9 cubic feet helps when planning layouts or working around architectural elements. At roughly 121 pounds, the sofa feels solid once in place but is still manageable to reinstall during a room refresh or move.

Longevity

The combination of metal, fabric, and leather is chosen for durability as much as appearance. Leather options on the internal or external backrest age with character, while fabric choices can lean more relaxed or formal depending on the interior.

Because the design is clear and uncluttered, it adapts as styles around it change. The Oxford 2p is not chasing trends; it is built to remain relevant, whether as a single statement piece or as part of a broader Capital seating landscape over many years of use.
