Design

The Rem Side Table takes its cue from Porto’s Casa da Música, with a silhouette that feels architectural without turning cold. The base is faceted and deliberate, cut with fine lines that catch light from different angles. And the top stays simple, giving the overall form room to breathe instead of competing for attention.

That contrast is the point. It nods to Rem Koolhaas’ idea of bringing interior and exterior into one conversation. The result is a side table that reads clean and distinctive at the same time.

Materials & Build

In the standard version, the base is lacquered fiberglass, paired with a plated stainless steel structure and a plated stainless steel top. The materials keep the profile crisp and the edges defined. But it still feels refined, not sharp or fussy.

At 16.42 inches wide, 15.75 inches long, and 25.59 inches high, the proportions are compact and vertical. It’s sized to sit close to seating and to keep surfaces within easy reach.

Everyday Use

The Rem table is built around the small rituals that happen around a chair or sofa. The top offers a straightforward landing spot for a drink, a book, or whatever needs to stay nearby for the next hour. And because the base has presence, it holds its own visually even when the top is kept clear.

Placement & Lifestyle

Myface designed the Rem Side Table to work in both interior and exterior spaces. That flexibility makes it easy to move through the day, from a reading corner to a terrace setup, without changing the look of the space. It can sit next to a lounge chair, align neatly with a sofa arm, or stand alone as a quiet accent.

Longevity

The plated stainless steel elements and lacquered fiberglass base are chosen for a finish that stays composed over time. There’s also a protection cover included, so the piece can be kept sheltered when not in use. It’s a practical detail, and it fits the table’s design mindset: considered, minimal, and meant to live in real spaces.
