About Ollie table
Design
The Ollie table reads as one continuous gesture: a clear glass plate bent to a full 180° curve. It’s simple at first glance, but the shape does the work. The curve softens the profile and gives the piece its character without asking for attention. And because the glass is extralight, the form stays crisp rather than tinted.
An L-shaped element in double-sided mirror sits at the base. It’s a sharp counterpoint to the curve, and it changes as the room changes. Reflections move, books become part of the composition, and the table looks different from each angle.
Materials & build
Glasitalia makes the Ollie table from a 12 mm extralight glass plate with a polished, shiny edge. The glass is chemically tempered, so it’s built for real life, not just for showrooms. The edge finishing is clean and deliberate; it catches light in a quiet way and keeps the profile looking precise.
The mirrored L-shaped support is double-sided, positioned on the base to hold books while also underlining the glass curve. The table is not available custom made, and the restraint feels intentional. What is offered is tightly resolved.
Comfort in use
Comfort here is about how easily the piece fits into daily rhythms. The curved glass creates a smooth perimeter that feels natural alongside seating, with no visual bulk. The mirrored support is a practical detail: it gives books a place to land, so the surface stays clear when it needs to. But it also invites a little styling without turning the table into a display case.
Placement & lifestyle
As a side table, the Ollie table works best where light can pass through and do its thing. Next to a sofa or lounge chair, it keeps a room open and airy, especially in tighter footprints. It also holds its own in pairs, where the mirrored element can be turned inward or outward to shift the look.
The proportions are compact and considered: approximately 22.4 inches long, 13.8 inches wide, and 20.1 inches high. Designed by Yabu Pushelberg, it has that rare quality of being both architectural and easy to live with.
Longevity
Chemically tempered glass is chosen for resilience, and the polished edge finish is made to stay looking sharp over time. The materials are honest, with no coatings or fussy parts to date the piece. With the Ollie table from Glasitalia, the appeal is in the clarity of the idea and the discipline of the build. It’s the kind of object that still feels current years in, because it never tried too hard in the first place.
