Inspired by Indonesian culture, the Gubuk Daybed brings an easy sense of calm without trying too hard. The silhouette is contemporary, with clean lines and a minimal look that reads modern in an instant. It feels architectural, but still inviting.

There’s a quiet balance to it. Open, airy, and composed, it suits spaces that lean minimal as well as homes that mix in warmer, more natural elements. And because it doesn’t rely on ornament, it stays flexible as the rest of the setting evolves.

Materials & build

Myface builds the Gubuk Daybed around a stainless-steel frame designed for outdoor living. The main metallic structure is lacquered stainless steel, finished with plated stainless-steel details. It’s a sturdy foundation meant to stand up to the elements.

Inner and outer netting are crafted in outdoor leather, adding texture and a tailored feel. The cushion is upholstered in acrylic fabric, chosen for weather resistance and daily practicality. A protection cover is included, which keeps the piece ready for long seasons outside.

Comfort

This is a daybed made for real downtime. The cushion creates a supportive, cozy surface for lounging, stretching out, or settling in with a book. It reads relaxed, not slouchy.

The proportions encourage switching positions—sit upright for conversation, then lean back when the afternoon slows down. But it still holds its shape and presence, so the area feels composed even when no one is using it.

Placement & lifestyle

With an overall size of 87.4 inches wide, 75.6 inches deep, and 74.8 inches high, it’s designed to anchor an outdoor space. It can set the tone on a terrace, by a pool, or in a garden corner where shade and quiet matter.
