Designed in 2017 by Boatto Martino Studio, the Grand pouf sits within Capital’s living room collection as a quiet anchor piece. Its geometry is simple and confident: a broad, low silhouette that reads as generous without feeling bulky. The square form is softened by thoughtful proportions, so it can stand alone or slip naturally into a larger seating composition.

Part of a wider system that includes sofas, armchairs and tables, the pouf keeps the same design language. That makes it easy to build a coherent living space, or to introduce it as a single accent that still feels connected to the room.

Materials & Build

The Grand pouf is available with metal, leather and fabric finishes, giving a clear, architectural base for different interiors. Metal details add a subtle frame when specified, while leather or fabric upholstery brings warmth and texture. Nothing is excessive; the focus is on clean lines and well-balanced surfaces.

Attention to proportion and handmade detailing is visible up close. Seams, transitions and edges are handled with care, so the piece looks considered from every angle, even when placed in the middle of a room.

Comfort & Scale

With a width and depth of 115 cm (about 45.3″), Grand offers a broad, usable surface. The height and seat height are both 42 cm (around 16.5″), keeping the profile low and relaxed. It feels natural as an extra seat, a casual lounging spot, or a place to rest a tray for drinks and books.

Placement & Lifestyle

The pouf is easy to move at 50 kg (about 110.2 lb), substantial enough to stay in place once set. It works well at the center of a seating area, as a soft alternative to a table, or aligned with a sofa to extend the seat. In larger rooms, two or more can define an informal conversation zone without adding visual clutter.

Longevity

Part of Capital’s POUF 2017 collection, Grand is designed to remain relevant as a setting evolves. The flexible choice of metal, leather and fabric finishes allows the piece to shift from understated to more pronounced, depending on the interior. Its calm geometry and measured scale help it adapt gracefully, season after season, to new arrangements and textures around it.
