Surface Pocket

About Surface Pocket

Design

Surface Pocket is made to disappear in the best way. The face stays clean and frameless, so the wall reads calm and uninterrupted. It’s a quiet look, but not bland. The detailing is precise, and the handle option adds just enough definition without pulling attention from the architecture.

It’s also a flexible idea. Surface Pocket doors can be specified as a single or double door, and the lock can be included or left out depending on how private the room needs to feel. And because the door is custom-made, the finish can be tuned to the interior rather than forcing the interior to match the door.

Materials & build

Each door is custom-made in honeycomb wood, a smart choice for a panel that needs to stay stable while keeping the profile refined. Surface Pocket is designed to integrate with common frameless sliding pocket door systems, including Scrigno Essential® sliding and Eclisse® Syntesis Line. The result is a door that feels built-in, not added on.

Finish options cover the practical and the tailored. It can be supplied in raw wood, ready to be finished with wall paint, or in a clean matt white. There are also matt lacquered versions in RAL or NCS shades, along with wood finishes as per samples. Some sizes have different finish availability, so final selection should be confirmed. Handles are available in five finishes, offering a small but noticeable way to align with nearby hardware.

Everyday use

This is a door made for smooth routines. The frameless pocket format keeps circulation open and reduces visual clutter, which matters in tighter plans and modern layouts. The handle is discreet but functional. And the choice to add a lock, or not, lets the experience shift from public to private without changing the look.

Placement & lifestyle

Surface Pocket suits interiors where the wall plane is part of the design. Think hallways that should stay clear, bedrooms that benefit from a quieter threshold, or spaces where a swinging door would interrupt furniture placement. It can be paired with plasterboard or brick walls, with subframes available on request, which helps keep planning straightforward across different build conditions.

Longevity

With a stable honeycomb wood structure and finishes meant for real rooms, Surface Pocket is built to hold its appearance over time. The ability to repaint raw wood versions, or to stay consistent with matt lacquered RAL/NCS tones, supports long-term updates without replacing the door. From glasitalia, it’s a considered piece of architecture—meant to work hard, stay quiet, and keep looking right.
