Sherazade Wall Patchwork

About Sherazade Wall Patchwork

Design

Sherazade Wall Patchwork is a floor-to-ceiling partition wall that brings structure without feeling heavy. Each panel is divided into four squares, creating a quiet grid that reads architectural, not decorative. The rhythm is consistent, but the effect changes with the glass finish chosen. Piero Lissoni keeps the gesture clean, letting proportion and alignment do the work.

It’s made to define space while still keeping a sense of openness. And because the panels are juxtaposed, the surface can feel crisp and continuous, or more layered, depending on how finishes are combined. The system stays visually disciplined either way.

Materials & Build

The wall is built from monolithic tempered glass at about 0.24 in, or laminated glass at 0.12 in + 0.12 in. Panels lock together through a click system and sit inside aluminum profiles, giving the whole composition a precise outline. Those profiles include adjustments designed to compensate for typical construction irregularities, which matters on full-height installations.

Glas Italia offers a wide range of glass options for Sherazade Wall Patchwork, including double- and single-faced acid-etched glass, extralight glass with wide meshes or fabrics, glossy and opaque lacquered glass, reflecting versions, patterned glass in both transparent and acid-etched finishes, and coloured transparent glass. The aluminum profiles and components come in five finishes. Some combinations depend on the selected configuration, so it’s worth confirming availability when specifying.

Comfort & Privacy

Comfort here is visual and acoustic, not soft. The grid breaks up reflections and sightlines in a way that can feel calmer than a single large sheet of glass. Acid-etched, lacquered, and patterned choices can soften glare and add privacy, while transparent finishes keep rooms connected.

And when the space needs to close off more fully, hinged and sliding doors from the Glas Italia collection can be integrated into the system. Doors can be coordinated to match the wall or intentionally contrasted, with the note that not every type of glass is available for every door model.

Placement & Lifestyle

This partition wall suits interiors that want separation without losing light: entry sequences, open-plan living areas, home offices, dressing rooms, and hospitality settings. Floor-to-ceiling height makes it feel built-in, closer to architecture than furniture. The patchwork layout keeps large surfaces from feeling stark, especially in expansive rooms.

A technical module can be added, making the system easier to adapt to more complex layouts when required. It’s a practical option for projects that demand precision and flexibility at the same time.

Longevity & Standards

Tempered and laminated glass are chosen for resilience in daily use, and the system is designed to stay aligned over time thanks to its framed profiles and on-site adjustability. The glass is certified to ANSI Z97.1 and UNI EN12150 safety standards, except for the 533 Retinato finish. In short, Sherazade Wall Patchwork is meant for real life, not just showrooms.
