About Aladin Wall Mono
Design
Aladin Wall Mono is a floor-to-ceiling partition designed by Piero Lissoni. It reads clean and architectural, with slim aluminum profiles and a single glazed face that can shift a room without closing it off. One side sits flush to the structure, while the opposite side is slightly set back, giving the partition a quiet sense of depth when seen in raking light.
It is not trying to be decorative. The design stays disciplined so the glass finish can do the talking, whether the space calls for crisp transparency or something more restrained.
Materials & build
The structure is aluminum, fixed to the floor, ceiling and/or wall, and offered in five different finishes. An integrated adjustment system helps level the partition and compensate for on-site irregularities. That detail matters, because this kind of installation needs to feel precise once it is in place.
In the Mono version, a laminated glass panel is applied on one side of the profiles. The glass is specified as 5+5 mm or 4+6 mm, which comes to about 0.39 inches total thickness. Glas Italia offers a wide range of glass options, including acid-etched, glossy or opaque lacquered, reflective, patterned, colored transparent, fluted colored glass, and extra-light variations with wide mesh/grid or fabric effects. Not every finish is available for every configuration, so selection should be confirmed during specification.
Light, privacy, and the feel of a room
Aladin Wall Mono is about controlling how a space reads from one zone to the next. Clear and extra-light glass keeps sightlines open, while acid-etched or patterned finishes soften the view and reduce glare. And reflective options can add a subtle layer of separation without turning the partition into a hard boundary.
The single-sided flush face also gives a more continuous surface on one side of the wall, which can be useful when aligning with cabinetry, art, or circulation paths.
Placement & configurations
Because it runs floor to ceiling, the partition works well in open-plan homes, studios, and executive environments where rooms need to be defined without losing volume. It can also be coordinated with Glas Italia swing and sliding door models, in matching finishes or with intentional contrast. But compatibility varies by glass type and door model, so the final pairing should be checked early.
A technical module can be added when the project calls for it, keeping the overall language consistent.
Longevity & standards
This is a system built for long-term use: stable aluminum framing, laminated safety glass, and an installation approach that accounts for real-world tolerances. The glass is certified to ANSI Z97.1 and UNI ENI 2150 safety regulations, supporting confidence in both residential and contract settings.
With Aladin Wall Mono, Glas Italia keeps the look minimal, but the engineering is present where it counts—at the fixings, the alignment, and the way the surfaces meet.
