About Cipher Table Lamp
Design
The Lasvit Cipher Small Table Lamp brings a clear, modern line to the table while nodding to time-honored craft. Designed by Yabu Pushelberg, its silhouette is pared back and precise, made of delicate crystal cylinders cut with crisp, vertical lines. Light reveals itself only at the connection points, so the glow feels intentional, never loud. Sources stay hidden, the profile stays clean, and the overall look lands as a quiet rhythm in the room. In the SMALL, CLEAR expression, it reads refined, compact, and unmistakably architectural.
Materials & Build
Each glass element is hand-blown crystal in a pure clear tone, then finished with polished titanium-champagne connections that catch light without shouting. The craftsmanship shows, and so does the individuality: handmade glass may include tiny bubbles or subtle shade variations that give the piece its human touch. The lamp measures approximately 12.4 inches in diameter (315 mm) and weighs about 6.6 pounds (3 kg), giving it a pleasing presence on a surface without feeling heavy-handed. The hardware’s champagne hue complements the clarity of the glass, keeping the palette elegant and easy to place.
Light & Comfort
Cipher’s approach to illumination is simple and considerate. By channeling light through the joints, it softens the output and minimizes glare. The effect is a calm, diffused radiance that flatters materials around it and never competes. It’s the kind of light that sets a mood, lends shape to a vignette, and makes a corner feel finished. Not flashy. Just comfortably luminous.
Placement & Lifestyle
On a nightstand, it’s a quiet anchor. On a console or desktop, it lends order and a bit of ceremony. The linear language pairs well with art, stone, and wood, and it mixes easily with both pared-down and layered interiors. The Cipher collection is known for its flexible system thinking; in table form, that same design language becomes a singular, focused object. Two shape variations are available, so the look can be tuned to the space without losing the collection’s distinct character.
Longevity
Clear crystal and titanium-champagne metal promise a life measured in years, not seasons. The materials are chosen for clarity and endurance, and the design avoids anything fussy. For care, a soft, dry cloth is usually enough; avoid abrasive cleaners and handle the glass with a light touch. Over time, the piece keeps its disciplined profile and understated sheen, which is exactly the point. Cipher stays relevant because it stays simple—and well made.
