About Cipher Floor Lamp
Design
The Cipher Base Size Floor Lamp by Lasvit distills an idea to its essentials: heritage craft shaped into a clean, contemporary line. Designed by Yabu Pushelberg, the lamp reads as a measured sequence of crystal elements, each one aligned to create a quiet, linear rhythm. Light appears to pause and gather at the connection points, then recede, giving the piece a gentle cadence rather than a constant glow.
The result is restrained and architectural, yet not cold. It holds the eye without insisting. In a room, the form acts like punctuation—clear, articulate, and balanced.
Materials & Build
Each component is hand‑blown crystal, cylindrical and precisely cut so the edges stay crisp and the surfaces stay clear. The elements are joined by polished connections in a titanium champagne finish, bringing a subtle hint of warmth against the glass. The dialogue between smooth crystal and refined metal is intentional and controlled.
The base size has a diameter of approximately 21.1 inches and a weight of about 8.8 pounds. Offered in one silhouette, it’s thoughtfully scaled and easy to place. Please note, handmade glass may include delicate bubbles and slight tone variations; photography is illustrative.
Comfort
Light is released only where the components meet, and the sources remain discreetly hidden. That choice softens the overall effect and reduces glare. Illumination feels composed—focused where needed, ambient where it isn’t. It invites longer evenings and quieter moments without visual strain.
The Cipher floor lamp doesn’t crowd a space with brightness. It gives the room structure and calm, letting textures and finishes read the way they should.
Placement & Lifestyle
This is a lamp for living spaces that value clarity. Next to a sofa, along a corridor, or anchoring an entry, it adds presence without noise. In pairs, it frames a seating group. On its own, it becomes a simple, sculpted gesture by a lounge chair or console.
Its language works across styles—minimal, tailored, or layered. And because it belongs to the broader Cipher system, it sits comfortably beside larger custom installations in residences or hospitality projects without competing for attention.
Longevity
Crystal and metal age well when they’re made well. The finely cut glass keeps its character, and the titanium champagne finish resists looking tired with everyday use. Hidden light sources stay protected and help maintain a clean profile over time.
Lasvit built Cipher to endure more than a season of taste. Materials are honest, connections are precise, and the design remains clear as interiors evolve. It is an investment in quiet utility—meant to be switched on, and appreciated, for years.
