About Lazy Hub
Design
Lazy Hub is a round dining table by Piero Lissoni, drawn with a calm, exacting hand. The silhouette is clean and circular, with a strong sense of symmetry that reads modern without trying too hard. And then there’s the detail that changes how the table works: a smooth, silent rotating disc set into the center, perfectly recessed so it sits flush with the top.
That rotating element is sized at about 27.6 inches in diameter, made to serve food with a simple turn. It keeps the surface feeling uninterrupted, not like an add-on. The result is neat, composed, and quietly clever.
Materials & build
The outer ring of the tabletop and the foot are made in 12 mm tempered glass, about 0.47 inches thick, finished in either glossy or opaque lacquer. The rotating disc can match in tempered glass with the same finishes, or shift the look with a colored laminated mirror, offered in the same color range as transparent colored glass.
The removable top is supported by a borosilicate glass cylinder. It’s fixed to a ballast positioned under the lacquered glass foot, a structural choice that keeps the table stable while letting the overall impression stay light. It’s a very Glas Italia way of engineering: visually minimal, technically resolved.
Comfort in use
Lazy Hub is designed for real dining habits, especially when sharing is the point. The rotating center makes it easy to pass dishes without reaching across place settings or interrupting the table conversation. But the table still feels like a single, continuous surface, so everyday use stays straightforward.
The rotation is described as smooth and silent, which matters more than it sounds like it should. It keeps the gesture refined. No rattling, no fuss, no performance.
Placement & lifestyle
With three diameters, it can suit different room sizes: roughly 63.0 inches, 66.9 inches, or 70.9 inches across. The height is about 29.1 inches, keeping it in classic dining proportions. It works best in spaces that can give it breathing room, because the round shape asks to be approached from all sides.
Glossy lacquered glass can sharpen a room, picking up light and reflections. Opaque lacquer feels quieter and more grounded. Either way, the design stays disciplined, letting chairs, tableware, and company do their part.
Longevity
Tempered glass brings everyday resilience, and the construction is built around stable support rather than decorative weight. The recessed rotating disc is protected by its flush placement, which helps keep the center looking clean over time.
Lazy Hub is available custom made, allowing the finish choices to align with the rest of an interior. It’s a table that stays relevant because it’s specific about what it does, and doesn’t try to do anything else.
