About Hub bistrot

Design

Hub Bistrot is a round high table with a clear point of view: simple geometry, strong presence, no excess. The profile is clean, almost architectural, and the transparency keeps it light in the room even when the diameter is generous. Designed by Piero Lissoni, it reads as modern but not loud. And because it’s round, the table invites conversation without feeling staged.

Materials & Build

The top is tempered glass, about 0.47 inches thick, set on a base built from a hollow borosilicate glass cylinder. A matching glass foot, also about 0.47 inches thick, adds ballast and visual closure. The effect is precise: a floating plane above a quietly engineered core.

Finishes stay within the same disciplined language. The top and foot can be done in glossy or opaque lacquered glass, or in transparent extra-light glass paired with extra-light mirror. There is also a titanium mirror option. The top can be disassembled and secured to the base with rings in stainless steel and anodized aluminum. Glasitalia also offers custom-made solutions for projects that need a tailored fit.

Everyday Comfort

This is a high table meant to be used, not admired from across the room. The round edge makes it easy to pull up a chair and settle in, and there’s no corner to navigate when people gather. But the real comfort is how straightforward it feels: clean surfaces, stable support, and a scale that suits casual dining, drinks, or a quick working moment.

Placement & Lifestyle

Hub Bistrot works beautifully in kitchens and dining areas that lean contemporary, but it also plays well in more layered interiors because glass doesn’t compete. It comes in three sizes: approximately 31.5, 35.4, or 39.4 inches in diameter, each at about 28.3 inches high. That range makes it easy to choose a tighter footprint for city spaces or a broader top for entertaining.

Longevity

Tempered glass brings day-to-day resilience, and the borosilicate cylinder is chosen for its technical stability. The table’s construction is meant to stay crisp over time, with parts that can be disassembled rather than treated as disposable. Hub Bistrot is the kind of piece that continues to look current because it avoids tricks and relies on proportion, clarity, and a well-resolved build.
