About Scacco Dining armchair
Design
The Talenti Scacco Dining Armchair brings an architectural gesture to the table without trying too hard. Its signature feature is the backrest, a geometric weave of rope that catches the eye, then quietly settles into the setting. Clean lines frame the pattern, letting air and light move through. The contrast between the rope and the slim aluminum structure gives the chair a crisp, modern profile.
Conceived by Ludovica + Roberto Palomba for the Icon collection, the design balances clarity with character. It sits comfortably next to contemporary pieces but doesn’t need matching to feel complete. A chair that reads modern at a glance, and considered on a second look.
Materials & Build
An aluminum frame keeps the structure strong while resisting rust and corrosion outdoors. It’s sturdy yet notably light, so the chair moves easily when the scene shifts. The rope backrest is precisely tensioned for definition, while the seat is finished with fabric cushions that feel substantial without excess bulk.
Dimensions are thoughtfully scaled for dining: width 24 in, depth 22.8 in, height 30.3 in, with a seat height of 18.1 in and a cushion thickness of 2.8 in. Weight is 19.8 lb. It is not stackable. Ships as one piece, and a protective cover is available.
Comfort
The seat is welcoming from the first minute and supportive over the course of a long meal. The gentle curve encourages an upright posture without feeling strict. The cushion softens the sit just enough, so conversations can stretch without the need to shift around. It suits a range of body types, thanks to its open shape and well-sized proportions.
The Scacco Dining armchair feels composed, not overstuffed. Comfort is built in, then left alone.
Placement & Lifestyle
On a patio, porch, or poolside deck, the silhouette stays light and elegant. It pairs well with stone, wood, or concrete surfaces and mixes easily with round or rectangular dining tables. Light neutrals or darker graphite palettes both suit it. Use one style across the set, or pull a couple into a larger arrangement to define the dining zone.
Because it’s easy to lift and reposition, the chair adapts to everyday living—morning coffee, a quick lunch, or a late evening with friends.
Longevity
Built for the elements, the aluminum frame keeps its poise season after season, while the rope design holds its shape and character. The chair’s lightweight build makes care simple; move it as needed, cover it when not in use, and it stays ready for the next gathering.
Talenti designed it to endure outdoor life without looking heavy. Clean lines, durable materials, and a clear point of view—nothing more, nothing less.
