About XXX Table
Design
XXX Table keeps the idea simple: a low table in transparent colored glass, with a base that reads like a small piece of architecture. The color is the first thing noticed, but it never feels loud. Pink, orange, and yellow stay clear and luminous, so the shape still does the talking.
Johanna Grawunder’s approach is graphic and precise. The base is built from six glass plates, joined to form a sculpted volume with crisp chamfering. The top is a clean disc that leans on the base rather than locking into a heavy frame. It looks light, but it doesn’t look fragile.
Materials & Build
glasitalia makes the XXX Table entirely in laminated glass. Each element is formed from two layers of 0.24-inch glass bonded together, a construction that adds substance without changing the clarity. The base plates are glued with care so the seams feel intentional, not hidden, and the chamfering gives the edges a sharper finish.
The top is also laminated glass, and it comes in the same three transparent colors. It rests on the base with a deliberate, almost floating contact. Custom sizing is not offered, which keeps the proportions consistent across the available versions.
Everyday Use
This is a table that behaves well in daily life. The chamfered edges make the glass feel more refined to the touch, and the round top keeps it easy to move around. It’s also visually forgiving: the transparency lets surrounding pieces breathe, even in tighter rooms.
Color can be playful, but here it reads controlled. And because the tint is in the material, not a surface finish, it holds its character under different light throughout the day.
Placement & Lifestyle
Two sizes set the tone. The smaller version measures 19.7 inches in diameter and 15.7 inches high, ideal beside a sofa or next to a lounge chair. The larger one is 31.5 inches in diameter and 11.8 inches high, with a wider presence for the center of a seating area.
In either size, the XXX Table works best when it’s allowed to be seen from multiple angles. It pairs naturally with textured upholstery, matte woods, or metal details, letting the glass bring in clean color without taking over the room.
Longevity
Laminated glass is a practical choice for a piece that’s meant to be used, not just admired. The construction adds strength, while the glued, multi-plate base avoids delicate-looking supports. And the transparency stays honest over time, with no coating to wear away.
As a piece from glasitalia, it’s designed to keep its impact with minimal fuss. It can shift with a room over the years, but it won’t feel temporary.
