Mirror Mirror tavoli

About Mirror Mirror tavoli

Design

Mirror Mirror tavoli is a collection of low tables and consoles designed by Jasper Morrison. The look is clean, almost architectural, with a quiet sense of precision. Mirror is the main surface and the main idea, but it’s handled with restraint. The forms stay simple so the reflections do the work.

Depending on the piece, the top either sits slightly down within the base frame, held by an upstand profile, or it rests directly on the frame. That small change shifts the attitude. One feels a touch more contained, the other more open and linear. And both keep the silhouette sharp.

Materials & Build

The base is built from laminated, double-faced mirror slabs cut by water jet at a 45° angle, then glued to create crisp corners and a tight geometry. The finish specified here is specchio titanio, a titanium-toned mirror that reads cooler and more understated than standard silver, especially in softer light.

Because this is mirror on mirror, the joinery matters. The construction is all about alignment and clean edges, not extra decoration. Mirror Mirror pieces are not available custom made, so the proportions and detailing stay consistent with the original design intent from Glas Italia.

Comfort in Daily Use

These tables are made to be lived with in a calm, considered way. The reflective surfaces brighten a space and pick up nearby materials, from textiles to wood grain, without adding visual noise. But the profile stays disciplined, so the room doesn’t feel busier than it needs to.

On the lower tables where the top sits within the frame, the upstand creates a subtle boundary around objects. It helps a book, a glass, or a small tray feel visually settled. It’s a small detail, but it changes how the piece behaves in use.

Placement & Lifestyle

Mirror Mirror tavoli works well in rooms that mix soft and structured elements: a relaxed sofa paired with sharper lighting, or a minimal setting that needs a little lift. The titanium mirror tone can read modern, but it isn’t flashy. It tends to blend in, then catch the eye when the light moves.

Sizes cover a wide spread, from compact to generous. Options include approximately 59.1” by 15.0” by 25.6”, 43.3” by 15.0” by 33.5”, and square formats around 43.3” by 43.3” by 13.0”. There are also smaller pieces around 15.7” by 15.7” by 17.7”, plus mid-size squares and rectangles.

Longevity

The laminated build gives the mirror slabs a more stable, substantial feel than a single sheet. The 45° cuts and glued construction keep the design looking crisp over time, as long as it’s treated with the care any mirrored surface deserves.

As a Jasper Morrison design for Glas Italia, the value is in its clarity: precise geometry, controlled reflections, and a finish that stays composed in different interiors. It’s the kind of piece that can move between rooms and still make sense, season after season.
