About Liquefy
Design
Liquefy, designed by Patricia Urquiola, takes a familiar glass table silhouette and makes it feel unexpected. The surface carries an organic, veined decoration that reads like marble at a glance, then shifts as the viewer moves. And that image-changing effect is the point: the veining looks more active from certain angles, quieter from others.
The perimeter is finished with a coordinated painted frame, clean and precise against the more fluid patterning inside. It keeps the look composed, even when the veining becomes bold.
Materials & build
Each piece is made in tempered extra-light glass. The clarity of the glass matters here; it lets the decoration look crisp and layered, not cloudy. The marble-like effect is enclosed within the glass surface, and the painted frame runs around the edge for a controlled finish.
Liquefy is offered in four colors: green, pink-beige, whisky, and anthracite-grey. These aren’t custom pieces, and the collection is not available custom made.
Comfort in use
Glass can feel precious, but the construction is meant for real rooms. The tempered top holds its presence without visual weight, which makes place settings, books, or a simple vase look intentional instead of crowded. But it never becomes a plain backdrop; the veining keeps the surface interesting even when it’s cleared.
Placement & lifestyle
The range of proportions makes Liquefy easy to place across a home. Sizes run from a compact 23.6" x 19.7" x 20.1" to larger formats up to 70.9" long and 47.2" wide, with a 28.7" height option for more generous settings. There are also round versions at 47.2" diameter, offered at 28.7" high or a lower 14.2" high.
A slim console proportion is included as well, measuring 47.2" x 16.5" x 33.5". It’s the kind of piece that can sit behind a sofa, in an entry, or along a wall where the shifting pattern can be seen as people pass by.
Longevity
Liquefy by glasitalia leans on materials chosen for durability and clarity. Tempered glass is made to handle daily life, while still looking sharp years in. The color-coordinated frame keeps the edges visually finished, so the table reads complete from every side, even in open-plan spaces.
