About I Massi tavoli bassi
Design
I Massi tavoli bassi are low tables with a strict, architectural presence. The form is a clean parallelepiped, held to the essentials, yet it still reads as bold because it looks almost monolithic. The mirrored surfaces sharpen the geometry, catching the room in fragments as people move around it. And the wheels keep that solid look from feeling too fixed or precious.
Designed by Claudio Silvestrin, the proportions are calm and deliberate. Nothing is fussy. The table simply sits there, confident, doing what a coffee table should do, while giving the space a strong line and a crisp reflection.
Materials & Build
Each piece is made from mirror slabs, cut with 45° chamfers and glued together to create that block-like volume. The edges are part of the design; the joinery is what makes the form feel continuous, not assembled. It’s a straightforward idea, executed with discipline.
glasitalia keeps the concept tight: these low tables are not available custom made. What’s offered is a set of defined configurations, consistent in height, and tuned for different layouts.
Comfort & Everyday Use
There’s an ease to using a table on wheels. It can slide closer when the room turns into a conversation area, then drift back when the floor needs to open up. But it still feels substantial, so it doesn’t read like a temporary piece.
The mirrored finish brings light into darker corners and makes small spaces feel less compressed. It also asks for a bit of intention in styling. A few considered objects look better than clutter, and the table rewards that restraint.
Placement & Lifestyle
I Massi tavoli bassi suit living rooms that lean modern, minimal, or quietly luxurious. They work especially well with upholstered seating, where the reflection adds contrast against matte textiles. And because the silhouette is so clean, it pairs easily with different materials already in the room.
Four sizes keep the choice practical: approximately 79.1" x 26.4" x 7.5", 28.3" x 28.3" x 7.5", 52.4" x 28.3" x 7.5", and 40.6" x 40.6" x 7.5". Each stays low and grounded, just scaled for the setting.
Longevity
This is a design that doesn’t depend on details that go out of style. The strength is in the simple geometry and the disciplined construction. With thoughtful day-to-day care, the mirrored surfaces keep their impact, and the table remains an intentional centerpiece rather than a trend piece.
