About Atlantis tavoli bassi
Design
Atlantis tavoli bassi keeps the focus on clean geometry and clear proportions. Lines stay crisp, edges stay light, and the whole piece reads calm in a room. There’s a quiet precision to it that feels intentional, not fussy. And that restraint is exactly what makes it stand out.
Designed by Lorenzo Arosio, the collection is offered in several square and rectangular formats, all set at the same low height. The profile stays consistent, so the choice comes down to footprint and how the table will live with seating.
Materials & build
Each table is made by gluing 6 mm tempered glass plates. The plates are cut by water jet for accuracy, then finished with a 45° chamfered edge that gives the perimeter a sharper, more refined read. The process is straightforward, but the result feels considered. The surfaces look clean from every angle, and the construction keeps the form visually pure.
Finishes include extralight transparent glass and glossy lacquered glass. Glasitalia keeps the offering edited and specific here, and the product is not available custom made. For faster delivery, the TAT08 configuration in extralight is marked as quick ship.
Comfort & day-to-day use
This is a low table at a true coffee-table height, about 14.17 inches. It’s easy to reach from a sofa, and the open glass presence helps a space feel less crowded. But it still has enough visual weight to anchor a seating area, especially in the larger formats.
The chamfered edge detail matters in daily use. It softens the look without losing the sharpness of the silhouette, and it keeps the table feeling finished when viewed up close.
Placement, lifestyle, and longevity
Atlantis tavoli bassi works best where the room needs clarity. The rectangular versions suit longer sofas or sectional layouts, while the square options land well between lounge chairs. Sizes include 55.12 by 31.50 inches, 47.24 by 23.62 inches, 31.50 by 31.50 inches, and 43.31 by 43.31 inches, all at the same 14.17-inch height.
Tempered glass brings resilience for everyday living, and the build relies on solid, straightforward joins rather than added parts. It’s a piece meant to stay visually relevant because it doesn’t chase trends. And when the room changes, the table doesn’t need to. Glasitalia’s approach here is simple: strong material, disciplined detailing, and a form that holds up over time.
