About Biblo 125 Bookshelve
Design
The Biblo 125 bookcase by Capital brings a clean, minimal presence to a room. Lines stay straight and calm, with continuous vertical and horizontal planes that read almost architectural. There is no visual noise. Just a composed structure that lets objects, books, and curated pieces sit in clear view.
Designed by Boatto Martino Studio for the 2020 Bookcase collection, the piece feels contemporary without trying too hard. Double-sided openings and carefully placed metal details break up the rhythm just enough, so the bookcase looks considered from every angle.
Materials & Build
Biblo 125 is built around a wooden structure that gives the piece its quiet solidity. The shelves are glass with a bronze effect, adding a gentle warmth without dominating the room. Light passes through them, which softens the overall volume and keeps the bookcase from feeling heavy.
Metal profiles and inserts highlight the verticals and edges, framing each bay with a subtle graphic line. One compartment can be customized with a leather back, which shifts the character instantly, from purely open display to something more tailored and intimate. Finishes span metals, wood, and leather, all chosen to work together rather than compete.
Everyday Comfort & Use
This is not comfort in the soft sense, but in the way a piece behaves every day. The open double-sided design keeps everything visible and within easy reach, whether placed against a wall or used as a light partition. Items can be grouped, spaced, or layered without the shelves fighting them.
The optional internal LED lighting adds clarity when needed. It quietly outlines objects and books, making evening use as effortless as daytime.
Placement & Lifestyle
At approximately 49.2 inches wide, 63 inches high, and 13.8 inches deep, Biblo 125 has a measured footprint. It can anchor a living area, define a study, or sit behind a sofa as a low visual screen. Because the structure is open, it works well in spaces that benefit from light passing through.
In a more formal setting, the mix of bronze-effect glass and metal details gives the piece enough presence to stand on its own. In a relaxed interior, it behaves quietly, simply framing what it holds.
Longevity
With a weight of about 364 pounds and a shipping volume near 49.4 cubic feet, Capital’s Biblo 125 feels built to stay in place and stay in use. The combination of wood, metal, glass, and optional leather is made to age with some character rather than feel precious.
The design avoids short-lived gestures, relying instead on proportion, honest materials, and a clear structure. It is the kind of bookcase that can move from one home to the next and still feel at ease in each new space.
