About Mayfair Nightstand
Design
The Mayfair nightstand from Capital sits in that quiet space between statement and restraint. Designed by Capital Creative Lab as part of the Bedside 2020 collection, it completes the Mayfair family with the same clean, minimal lines. The silhouette is compact and carefully balanced, with a simple box volume resting on slender legs. At roughly 19.3 inches wide, 21.7 inches high, and 20.5 inches deep, it feels substantial enough to anchor the side of a bed or sofa, without taking over the room.
There is no unnecessary detail, only what is needed. A single drawer, a generous top, and a calm, linear profile that works with both soft, upholstered pieces and more architectural settings.
Materials & Build
Mayfair is built around a wooden frame with one drawer, giving it a solid, reassuring structure. Legs in painted metal lift the cabinet from the floor, keeping the piece visually light while adding stability. Discreet metal finishing details underline the geometry and tie it back to the wider Capital language.
An optional marble top introduces a different temperature and tactility, turning the nightstand into a more graphic presence if desired. The finishes span wood, marbles, and metals, allowing the piece to lean warmer or cooler depending on the space. With a weight ranging approximately from 26 to 42 pounds, depending on configuration, it is sturdy enough for everyday use yet manageable to move when the room needs to shift.
Everyday Ease
This is a nightstand designed to keep essentials close, without clutter. The single drawer holds what needs to be hidden; the top keeps a lamp, books, or a glass of water comfortably within reach. The height works naturally beside most beds and also aligns well with lounge seating.
Nothing about the layout feels complicated. One drawer, one surface, a clear structure that quickly becomes part of a daily routine.
Placement & Longevity
Though conceived as a bedside, Mayfair by Capital moves easily through the home. In the bedroom, it pairs well with both upholstered and timber beds. In the living area, it takes on the role of a side table next to an armchair or sofa. It also sits neatly in a study or guest room, where compact storage and a small footprint matter.
Built from wood, metal, and, when chosen, marble, the piece is meant to stay in use, not in storage. The materials are resilient and straightforward to live with. With an overall volume of about 7.1 cubic feet, it slips into tighter spaces without feeling reduced. The design does not chase trends, which is exactly why it continues to feel relevant as rooms and lives evolve around it.
