Prism Partition

About Prism Partition

Design

Prism Partition is a curved mirrored screen with a clean, architectural presence. It reads as a single, continuous plane, but the curve changes everything. Reflections move across it instead of sitting flat, which makes a room feel more active and a little less predictable. The corners are gently smoothed, so the silhouette stays crisp without looking sharp.

The detailing is quiet but intentional. A large chamfer runs along the vertical edge and the upper side, catching light in a controlled way. And because it’s a mirror, the piece never feels heavy, even when it’s defining a space.

Materials & Build

The screen is made from 0.24-inch-thick curved mirror. The finish is listed as “specchio titanio,” giving the surface a titanium-toned mirror character rather than a standard bright mirror look. It stays refined and slightly cooler in tone, which works well with both warm woods and darker finishes.

On the reverse, there is a silver-colored safety anti-crushing film. It’s a practical layer that doesn’t ask for attention, but it matters in daily life. Prism Partition is not available custom made, so what’s offered is meant to be selected with confidence, not adjusted.

Comfort, Privacy, and Light

A mirrored partition changes how a room feels more than it changes what a room is. The curve helps soften reflections, so it doesn’t feel like a hard wall of glass. It gives a sense of separation while keeping light in play. And it can make tighter areas feel more open, simply by shifting the way the eye reads depth.

But it also brings a bit of control. It can block a direct view without making the space closed off, which is often the sweet spot for modern interiors.

Placement & Lifestyle

With overall dimensions of about 47.25 inches long, 15.75 inches wide, and 70.9 inches high, it’s scaled to act as a true room divider, not just an accent. It can sit near an entry to shape the arrival, or behind a seating area to define a zone without adding bulk. It also works in a bedroom for a dressing moment that feels intentional.

Designed by Tokujin Yoshioka for glasitalia, Prism Partition fits spaces that value restraint. It doesn’t compete with furniture. It edits the room instead.

Longevity

This is a piece built around a single material and a precise profile, which tends to age well visually. The chamfered edges and smoothed corners are the kind of details that keep it looking considered over time. And the safety film on the back adds reassurance for everyday use, especially in high-traffic interiors.

Prism Partition doesn’t rely on trend-driven ornament. It relies on proportion, reflection, and the quality of its mirrored surface.
