About Lesena
Design
Lesena is a mirror that reads like a quiet architectural detail. Its form takes cues from a pilaster strip, bringing a sense of structure without turning into decoration. The outline is slim and vertical, with a presence that feels intentional, not showy.
Designed by Alessandro Mendini, it carries that subtle shift between everyday object and design gesture. It is straightforward at first glance. And then it keeps the eye a little longer, because the proportions feel considered.
Materials & build
This piece is, first and foremost, a mirror. The surface is clean and precise, and the overall profile stays disciplined. There is no added narrative in the construction, just a clear idea carried through.
Lesena is offered with a double fixture that supports vertical and horizontal installation. That flexibility is built into the concept, not added as an afterthought. It is not available custom made, which keeps the selection simple and consistent.
Everyday use
At 27.6 inches wide and 66.9 inches high, the format is generous but still easy to live with. It gives a full view without needing a large wall. The pilaster-like shape helps it feel anchored, even when the room around it is minimal.
But the best part is how uncomplicated it is. It works as a practical mirror first. The design is present, yet it does not compete with what is in front of it.
Placement & lifestyle
Lesena suits spaces that value a clean line: an entry where a mirror needs to feel composed, a bedroom that leans quiet, or a dressing area that wants something sharper than a plain rectangle. Installed vertically, it reads more architectural. Turned horizontally, it can open up a tighter wall and stretch the room visually.
From glasitalia, it fits naturally alongside refined glass and metal finishes, but it is not limited to that world. It can also bring a crisp edge to softer interiors, especially where texture and fabric dominate.
Longevity
The appeal here is in the restraint. A mirror this clear in its idea tends to outlast trends because it does not chase them. The form is specific, yet it stays neutral enough to move from one home to the next.
And because the mounting allows either orientation, it can adapt as rooms change. Lesena is less about reinventing a wall and more about giving it a confident, lasting line.
