About Bow
Design
Bow is a family of cylindrical vases with a quiet twist: each piece leans. That single gesture changes everything. The silhouette stays clean and simple, but the incline brings movement to the outline and a little tension to the way stems sit inside. It looks considered without asking for attention.
Designed by Piero Lissoni, the collection plays with proportion across several sizes, and each one carries its own angle. And because the form is so restrained, the tilt reads clearly from across a room. It’s not decorative for the sake of it. It’s a clear design decision, repeated with small variations.
Materials & build
Each Bow vase is made in transparent borosilicate glass. The clarity matters here. Light passes through cleanly, and the contents become part of the look, from a single branch to a fuller arrangement. The cylindrical body keeps the visual language minimal, while the incline adds character.
Glasitalia keeps the offering straightforward: these pieces are not available custom made. What’s offered is the collection as designed, with distinct sizes and angles already resolved.
Ease of use
Despite the lean, Bow reads as calm on a surface. The shape stays familiar in the hand, and the opening feels generous enough for everyday arranging. But it also encourages a looser approach. Stems can fall a little off-center, and that’s part of the point.
Transparent glass is forgiving, too. It pairs with nearly any palette, and it doesn’t compete with florals, branches, or even nothing at all. Bow can sit empty and still look intentional.
Placement & lifestyle
Different sizes shift the mood. BOW01 measures about 3.15 inches in diameter and 9.84 inches high, a good scale for a shelf or bedside. BOW02 is about 6.69 inches in diameter and 11.81 inches high, with more presence on a console or dining table.
For a stronger statement, BOW03 comes in at roughly 9.84 inches in diameter and 15.94 inches high. And BOW04 keeps the wider footprint at about 9.84 inches in diameter, but drops to around 5.31 inches high, which suits lower styling on a coffee table or sideboard.
Longevity
Borosilicate glass is chosen for good reason. It’s a resilient material for daily use, and it holds its clarity over time when cared for well. The design also helps with longevity: there’s no color trend to date it, no surface treatment to wear away.
Bow by glasitalia is the kind of accessory that keeps working as rooms change. The incline stays interesting, but the overall presence remains understated. And that balance is what makes it easy to live with year after year.
