Villa Sul Palazzo – Italy (Lazio)

In the heart of Rome’s prestigious Parioli district, an extraordinary residence rises above the rooftops of Villa Carrega, a historic building originally constructed in 1912 as a prince’s retreat. Once a religious institution and later a private home, its upper floors were transformed into a luxurious dwelling in 2017. The residence, named Villa sul Palazzo, offers panoramic views of the Eternal City from its spacious terraces, which have been elegantly furnished with Talenti outdoor collections.

The transformation was led by designer Ramon Esteve, who brought together rich materials and modern design language. Marble, lacquered finishes, and gilded accents are used throughout the interiors, creating an interplay of reflections that enhance the sense of space and luxury. Large windows allow natural light to flood the rooms, creating a seamless connection between the sophisticated interior and the scenic exterior.

The terraces are bordered by neoclassical columns and include a central fireplace, water features, and a small garden space. These elements lend the property a timeless charm. The Casilda collection by Talenti, also designed by Esteve, is featured throughout the outdoor areas. The furnishings—finished in gold tones with neutral fabrics and silver travertine marble inserts—complement the villa’s classical architecture while adding a contemporary layer of comfort and refinement. The result is an atmosphere where history and modernity coexist in harmony, suspended in a space that feels untouched by time.
