Casa de Agosto, Sotogrande Alto
Casa de Agosto is a private villa set in the Sotogrande Alto valley in Spain. The project takes the familiar lines of a Spanish cortijo and brings them into a contemporary setting, keeping the mood calm and lived-in rather than showy. THESET studio shaped the interiors around pieces that feel grounded and comfortable, but still precise in proportion.
Across the main living spaces, Meridiani selections give the rooms a quiet structure. And they do it without trying to steal the scene. The Harold modular sofa anchors the lounge area with a relaxed, adaptable layout. Nearby, Judd low tables introduce a sharper note, finished with marble tops that add weight and depth. The Cecile armchair in light grey keeps the palette soft and understated, a clean counterpoint to the stronger architectural lines of the house.
Master Suite
In the Master Suite, the atmosphere shifts slightly, more intimate and a touch more sculpted. The curved Frieman sofa sets the tone, inviting without being casual. It sits in easy conversation with Bongo low tables, keeping the space functional and visually light.
The Forrest armchair brings contrast through its dark wooden frame, while the textile cover in light grey ties it back to the suite’s calm tone. But nothing feels overly coordinated. The mix is controlled, with enough variation to feel personal.
Night Area
In the night zone, the design leans into familiar forms and comfort. The Lauren Ghost bed, one of the brand’s iconic pieces, carries classic, welcoming lines that suit a private space. Paired with the Berry bench, it completes the room with a sense of purpose: somewhere to pause, place, and settle in.
From living area to bedrooms, Meridiani is present in a way that reads as intentional, not decorative. The choices lean on Italian refinement and attention to detail, and they support the villa’s idea of luxury as something intimate. Casa de Agosto ends up feeling composed and easy, with each piece doing its job quietly, day after day.
