About Sherazade Swing Slim Jambs Plus
Design
Sherazade Swing Slim Jambs Plus is a made-to-order swing door, offered in single or double versions, designed by Piero Lissoni. The look is clean and precise, with slim jambs and equal glass panes held by tapered profiles. It reads quiet from a distance, then the details show up close. And those details matter here: the stop profiles are mini telescopic, so the geometry stays crisp without feeling heavy.
The frame keeps everything disciplined, while still letting the glass do the work. It suits interiors that want separation without visual noise, and it carries the signature restraint people expect from glasitalia.
Materials & build
The door pairs an aluminum frame with tempered or laminated glass, fitted with a gasket for a secure, refined seat. Glass options include 0.24-inch monolithic tempered glass or 0.24-inch laminated glass (3+3 mm). The pane layout is intentionally even, and the dividing profiles are shaped to stay slim without looking fragile.
Finishes span a wide range, from acid-etched surfaces (single or double faced) to reflecting glass, colored transparent options, patterned textures, and lacquered finishes in glossy or opaque. There are also Extralight glass options with meshes or fabric effects. But not every finish is available in every size; the final selection depends on the specification, and the price list should be checked.
Everyday use
Hardware is built for real daily traffic. Adjustable hinges allow precise alignment over time, and the mini telescopic stop profiles help the closure feel controlled rather than abrupt. Three closure types are available: without lock, with a cylinder twist lock, or with a pawl.
Handle and knob choices are part of the system, not an afterthought. They’re supplied in the same color as the frame, along with the stop profiles, so the whole door reads as one piece. And the entire handle unit is treated with a sanitizing coating tested to ISO 22196:2011, designed to counter bacterial proliferation and support surface cleanliness.
Placement & longevity
This is the kind of door used to shape a home or workplace without shutting it down. It works where transparency matters, where light needs to travel, and where the boundary should feel intentional. In a hallway, it can keep a sightline open. Between living areas, it can quiet the room without turning it opaque.
Glass is certified to ANSI Z97.1 and UNI EN12150 safety standards, with the noted exception of finish 533 Retinato. The combination of certified glass, an aluminum frame, and adjustable hardware is meant to hold up to routine use and stay looking sharp, even as the space around it evolves.
