About Sherazade Slide Plus
Design
Sherazade Slide Plus is a sliding door with a quiet, architectural presence. Designed by Piero Lissoni, it reads as clean geometry first, then reveals the detail: a glass surface divided into equal panes by tapered profiles. The rhythm is precise, but not fussy. And that’s the point—elegance that comes from proportion, not decoration.
The frame keeps the overall line crisp, letting the glass do the visual work. Whether the door is used to define a passage or soften a boundary, the look stays consistent: measured, modern, and deliberately understated.
Materials & Build
At the core is tempered glass, offered as a monolithic panel at 0.24 inches thick or as a laminated 0.24-inch build made from two 0.12-inch layers. The glass is set into the center of an aluminum frame through a seal, a detail that keeps the panel aligned and the profile tidy. It’s a straightforward construction, done with attention to the way components meet and sit.
Finish options are broad, ranging from acid-etched and patterned surfaces to glossy or opaque lacquered glass, reflecting glass, colored transparent glass, and transparent Extralight glass. There are also Extralight options with wide meshes or with fabrics. Not every finish is available in every size, so selection is best confirmed per configuration.
Comfort in Daily Use
This door is designed to be lived with. The segmented panes help break up reflections and scale, so large glass surfaces feel calmer in a room. And the finish choices make it easy to tune the level of privacy, from clear to softly diffused, without losing the lightness that glass brings.
Sherazade Slide Plus also supports different rail, handle, and accessory configurations. That flexibility matters, because a sliding door is touched every day. The right pairing makes it feel natural from the first pull.
Placement & Lifestyle
In open-plan interiors, it works well as a subtle divider that still keeps sightlines open. In more private zones, it can close off a study, dressing area, or meeting room while keeping the atmosphere bright. But it never tries to be the star. It simply sharpens the space around it.
glasitalia positions Sherazade Slide Plus as a system that can shift from minimal to more expressive depending on glass selection. The frame stays consistent, so interiors can change without changing the language.
Longevity & Standards
Tempered glass brings resilience where it counts, and the door’s glass options are certified to ANSI Z97.1 and UNI ENI 2150 safety regulations (with the exception of 533. armato). It’s an assurance that supports long-term use, especially in high-traffic settings.
The materials are honest and durable: aluminum, glass, and carefully executed interfaces. Over time, the design holds because it relies on clarity and structure—qualities that don’t date quickly.
