Aladin Slide Duo

About Aladin Slide Duo

Design

Aladin Slide Duo is a sliding door system designed by Piero Lissoni with a clean, architectural presence. The look stays quiet on purpose. Glass reads as a surface, not a statement, and the thin profiles keep the focus on light, reflection, and the room beyond.

It is offered with a choice of rails and coordinated components, so the visual rhythm can stay consistent from one opening to the next. And because the door is built as a precise volume rather than a single sheet, it has a subtle depth that feels considered when seen from an angle.

Materials & build

At the core is aluminium, faced on both sides with 4 mm tempered glass. This creates a defined thickness with an internal air chamber, giving the panel a structured feel while keeping the appearance refined. The glass is certified to ANSI Z97.1 and UNI EN12150 safety regulations, which matters for everyday use in active spaces.

Finishes span from single faced acid-etched glass to glossy, opaque, reflective lacquered options, plus reflecting transparent glass and acid-etched patterned glass. There are also choices like extralight, fumè, bronzo, flutes, and mirror. Not every finish is available in every size, so selection is typically confirmed against the price list before finalizing.

Everyday use

Sliding doors should feel effortless, and the system is designed to support that kind of daily rhythm. The panel’s construction brings a sense of stability in motion. But it still reads light in the room, especially in clearer or reflective finishes where boundaries soften without disappearing.

Handles are available in multiple versions, allowing the touchpoint to stay minimal or more defined. The point is choice without clutter, so the door can match the tone of the interior rather than compete with it.

Placement & lifestyle

Aladin Slide Duo suits spaces where separation is needed without closing everything off. It can divide living and dining areas, shape a home office, or create calmer transitions in hospitality and workplace settings. In more compact plans, it offers a way to gain privacy while keeping sightlines open.

In the context of glasitalia, the system fits naturally alongside other glass-forward pieces. And it works just as well in understated palettes as it does in bolder material mixes, where fumè, bronzo, or mirrored surfaces can shift the mood of a room with a single plane.

Longevity & care

Tempered glass and aluminium are practical choices for long-term use. They resist everyday wear, clean up easily, and hold their appearance over time. The key is choosing the right finish for the space, then keeping hardware aligned and surfaces maintained with simple, consistent care.

Assembly guidance is provided for different rail applications, including wall and ceiling solutions, with specific instructions for plasterboard installations. It helps ensure the door performs as intended, year after year.
