About Kooh-I-Noor Specchi
Design
Kooh-I-Noor Specchi is a standing mirror with an irregular outline that feels deliberate, not random. The perimeter is faceted, and the chamfering shifts as it moves around the edge. Depth and angle vary, so the border catches light differently from every position. It reads clean from a distance, then gets more interesting up close.
Designed by Piero Lissoni, the piece keeps the focus on proportion and reflection rather than ornament. And because the shape isn’t symmetrical, it brings a subtle energy to a room without needing bold color or extra detailing.
Materials & Build
The construction centers on the mirror itself: a crisp reflective plane framed by precise faceting and special chamferings. Those changing bevels are the point here, and they’re executed with intention—sharp where they should be, softer where the light needs a longer glide.
Kooh-I-Noor Specchi is not available custom made. What’s offered is tightly edited, and that discipline suits the design. Quick ship is available for configurations KOS01 and KOS02.
Everyday Use
This is a full-length standing mirror meant to be lived with. The reflective field stays clean and direct, while the perimeter adds a quiet layer of movement. Step closer and the faceted edge starts to act like a lens, breaking up highlights and giving the mirror a little depth without turning it into a statement piece that overwhelms the room.
But it still has presence. The irregular silhouette keeps it from feeling purely functional, so it works just as well when it’s not being used.
Placement & Lifestyle
Two sizes make it easier to place. KOS01 measures about 45.7 inches wide by 81.1 inches high. KOS02 measures about 59.1 inches wide by 104.3 inches high. The smaller option feels confident in a bedroom, dressing area, or entry. The larger one can hold its own in more open spaces where it can be seen from across the room.
In either scale, it pairs naturally with tailored furniture, soft textiles, and calmer palettes. And it can sharpen a space that leans minimal, giving it something to look at besides clean lines.
Longevity
Glasitalia keeps the concept straightforward: a standing mirror defined by its geometry and the way it handles light. There are no extra parts competing for attention, which helps it age well visually. The irregular form stays relevant because it isn’t tied to a trend, and the faceted perimeter continues to reward everyday use, year after year.
