About i mirror

Design

i mirror reads as pure glass, then the details start to show. The form is free-standing and gently curved, so it catches light in a softer way than a flat panel. And the vertical edges are finished with a bullnose polish, which gives the outline a clean, rounded presence instead of a sharp line.

Designed by Tokujin Yoshioka, the silhouette stays quiet and precise. It looks considered from every angle, including the back, where the silver-grey finish adds a subtle layer of depth. Nothing ornamental, nothing busy. Just a mirror that feels intentional.

Materials & build

Glas Italia makes i mirror from 0.47-inch extra-clear glass, curved and manually silvered. That extra clarity matters in a piece like this. The reflection stays crisp, and the glass itself looks lighter, even at full height.

The embellished back is treated with a special anti-shatter safety coating. It’s a practical choice that doesn’t change the look, but it does change how confidently the mirror can live in real spaces. A removable counterweight is included for stability, keeping the piece steady without making it visually heavy. Custom sizes are not available.

Comfort in use

This is a mirror meant to be used often, not just admired. The scale is generous enough for outfit checks and full-length views, while the curve softens the experience when moving around it. It feels less rigid, more accommodating.

But the most functional touch is on the narrow configuration: IMI01 includes a swivel base. That small adjustability makes a difference in bedrooms and dressing areas, where the mirror needs to follow the moment.

Placement & lifestyle

Three widths keep the styling flexible. IMI01 measures about 19.7 inches wide, 17.7 inches deep, and 68.5 inches high. IMI02 is about 33.5 inches wide, 17.7 inches deep, and 68.1 inches high. IMI03 is about 47.2 inches wide, 17.7 inches deep, and 68.1 inches high.

In a hallway, it adds clarity without taking over. In a bedroom, it reads like a piece of furniture, not an accessory. And in a living space, it works as a quiet way to open up the room, especially when placed to catch natural light.

Longevity

There’s an inherent resilience here: thick glass, careful edge work, and a safety coating on the back. The removable counterweight also helps the mirror stay stable over time, even as it’s moved between rooms.

Glas Italia keeps the design straightforward, which is often what lasts. i mirror doesn’t rely on trends or extra features. It’s a strong, refined essential that still feels fresh years in.
